Chris Kleeman: Scratch It While You Can
Chris Kleeman’s “Scratch It While You Can” was recorded at The Nineteen Studio, Glastonbury CT with Ron Scalise, head engineer and Wes Talbot, assistant engineer. The track was mixed by Ron Scalise, Wes Talbot and Chris Kleeman and roduced by Chris with Ron Scalise. Remastered by Bruce Seifried at Eclair Engineering.
"I wrote this tune for Sundance the Wonder Dog, my guardian angel in a German Shepherd, who was on the road with me from 1974-1983, as he went from Winter to Spring, scratching all the way."
"I was happy to offer up this music, because I believe that we must, as a society and country, make sure that everyone has access to proper health care. I am doubly lucky, I am married to a wonderful woman who is a teacher and has great health insurance. Others are not so fortunate."
- Chris Kleeman
Chris Kleeman is a master performer of great energy and focus. Spanning a large cross- section of Blues guitar styles, there is something for every one who loves the Blues. From his smoky vocals and superlative slide guitar on a 1933 National Duolian, deft rag-time guitar and vocal trombone and scat, Kleeman’s performances are spellbinding. His evocative original 12-string guitar instrumentals bring a unique and powerful addition to his shows. Kleeman was a featured performer at the Montreux Jazz festival in 2002, along with Bob Stannard. He has also shared the stage and performed with many Blues legends of our time, including B.B. King, Buddy Guy, John Hammond, Susan Tedeschi, Guy Davis and many others.
